The Fulton Police Department takes pride in its professional approach to modern day law enforcement. We continue to be a trend setter for agencies of this size by updating policies, tactics and procedures while providing advanced and specialized training for our officers. The Department’s Special Response Unit (SRU) has undergone extensive, nationally recognized training and has been instrumental in the successful resolution of numerous potentially life threatening situations.

The public may obtain certain reports under the State of Missouri Sunshine Law. Not all on-going or felony investigations are public information. Under Missouri State Statute 610.100, the information available to the public is information from the incident report, which includes date, time, location, names of victims and the nature of the crime or incident. Juvenile information and victim information in sex crimes are not open to the public.
Accident Reports
Accident reports are available seven to ten business days after the incident has been reported. If you are involved in an accident on a public street or highway within the city limits of Fulton, call the police to have the accident investigated. Always contact your insurance carrier when you are involved in an accident.
Community Camera Program
The Community Camera Program allows locals and business owners to register their security camera systems with the Fulton Police Department, enabling them to locate nearby cameras, gather evidence, and pursue leads in case of a crime. Video surveillance is an effective method for apprehending criminals and convicting suspects caught in the act of committing a crime. Registering your camera allows officers to quickly identify nearby cameras that may have captured criminal activity. Any video evidence gathered by the Fulton Police Department may be used as evidence at any stage of a criminal process. The Fulton Police Department will only contact you if there is a criminal incident close to you and they believe viewing the footage will assist with the investigation. The information provided about your camera systems will be for official use only, and your personal information will remain confidential. The program is voluntary, and you can withdraw permission to access video footage at any time by contacting the Fulton Police Department.
Animal Shelter / Animal Control
Grabb Animal Shelter is a city-funded shelter that deals only with dogs and cats. Our shelter has room for about 40 dogs and 20 cats. We only accept animals from inside the city limits, but we often have a list of animals needing homes from the county. We’re open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except on city holidays.
The adoption fee for cats is $100 and dogs is $150. It includes all required shots (i.e. Vanguard, Felomune, heartworm, feline leukemia, etc.), as well as microchipping and spaying and neutering. If you are renting your home, we need a statement from your landlord, including their contact information, authorizing you to house a pet.

Crime Stoppers
All of us are affected by crime. We need your help. You might not have been a victim of crime, but you almost certainly have been affected by it. The cost of crime on an individual and on society is high. Be it burglary, car theft, or assault – we all have to pay. Insurance premiums, replacing cars or goods, emotional and physical pain are just some of the costs.
We all want to live in a community free of crime, and you can do something about it through Crime Stoppers.
The information you have may help solve a crime or prevent another from occurring. It could be the key piece of the puzzle that police are looking for, or it could be new information that police are unaware of. It does not matter how trivial you may think your information is, it might be important to an investigation.
Crime Stoppers is a community-based service which allows you to give your information over the phone. If you don’t want to get involved publicly, you can remain anonymous and still collect a reward of up to $1,000 if your information is used in making an arrest.

Bill came to the City of Fulton in 2000 as a patrol officer who served in many capacities within the police department. Now as Chief he provides oversight for the Police and Animal Control Departments and enjoys working to build on strong relationships within the city to ensure a safe community which adds to our quality of life.
