Fulton Dog Park
Wolking Drive
The Fulton Dog Park is one of Fulton’s newest recreation amenities. Constructed in the summer of 2010, this facility consists of a 2 acre “Large Dog” area and a separate .5 acre area for the smaller dogs to run and play.
Backer Sports Complex
15 acres – Crestwood Drive
Backer Sports Complex is home to three softball/baseball fields and is the home to William Woods University baseball and softball teams. The fields are also utilized by adult and youth Parks and Recreation programs during the summer months.
Carver Park
8.3 acres – Penn Ave. and Westminster Ave.
Carver Park houses two shelters, one baseball field, playground equipment, a concession area, restrooms, and three basketball courts.
Memorial Park
11.5 acres – Hockaday and Ravine St.
Memorial Park is divided by Business 54. The east side of the park, also known as Hockaday Hill or Indian Park, houses one shelter, restrooms and playground equipment, as well as easy access Stinson Creek Trail. The west side of the park is home to Memorial & Hensley baseball fields and the old Covered Bridge, which is part of the Stinson Creek Trail.
Morgan Soccer Complex
41 acres – County Rd. 304 (near Elton Hensley Memorial Airport)
Morgan Soccer Complex has five lighted playing fields, a playground, restrooms, concession area, and one shelter. This complex is used for youth soccer and flag football.
Morningside Park
52 acres – Jeff Battles Dr.
Morningside Park consists of a fishing lake with a boat ramp, picnic tables, a nature trail and access to the Stinson Creek Trail. The entrance to the park is named after retired Fulton teacher Jeff Battles. He started volunteering his Future Farmers of America classes for community service and spent many years volunteering his time and effort on this park. Battles worked very hard to help clear picnic and hiking areas and his efforts are greatly appreciated. The entrance to the park has been name “Jeff Battles Drive” in his memory.
Smith Branch Park
1 acre – North U.S. 54 Business
This roadside park, located on Business 54 makes a perfect place for a picnic or a quiet place to enjoy your lunch.
Tennyson Road Park
55 acres – Tennyson Road
This 55 acre tract of land , designated as a City Park in 2009, is currently an undeveloped area with gently rolling pastures and some small tracts of timber. The City plans to begin park development in this area in 2011. It is also home to the newly constructed southside Fire Station.
Truman Park and Lake
6 acres – Westminster Ave. and 4th St.
Truman Park has several nice picnic areas, and lots of room to fish.
Veterans Park
State St. and 10th St.
Veterans Park is one of the most popular park facilities. It’s home to five shelters, baseball field, fishing lake, skate park, 12 horseshoe pits, three sets of playground equipment, two lighted basketball courts, two sand volleyball courts, concession stand, amphitheatre, 18-hole disc golf course and historic Scout Cabin.
Wallace Backer Park
Jefferson City Rd.
This 5 ½ acre, hilltop park was donated to the City in June 2009 by the Fulton Garden Club. It is an undeveloped nature area that is great for short hikes or other outdoor activities.
Other Facilities
Anderson Field – S. State St.
Located in the Seaman Complex, south of Seaman Field, this field is used for baseball and softball practices.
Hensley Field - West 2nd St.
Donated to the city from American Legion, it is the home of Fulton High School and American Legion baseball teams.
McBride Field - 1000 Westminster
Originally developed in the 1950’s, this ball field is located in Carver Park. It is used for youth baseball practices and is named in honor of Fulton native and former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Bake McBride.
Memorial Field – West 2nd St. and U.S. 54 Business
Located in Memorial Park, this is a multipurpose field used for both youth baseball and youth/adult kickball.
Murphy Field - 8th St. and Wood St.
Located in Veterans Park, this field is used for pitching machine, baseball, and softball games.
Seaman Field – 2nd St. and State St.
This field is used for both youth baseball and adult softball. It features a concession stand, restrooms, and plenty of open space
