The Memorial Donation Program is in place for the City of Fulton Parks and Recreation Department to be able to respond, in a proactive and positive manner, to citizen and group requests for the placement of benches, tables, trees and signs designed to honor groups or individuals, to be placed within the Parks System.
Fulton Parks and Recreation greatly appreciates those considering a Memorial Donation and welcomes the opportunity to discuss any specific details about the program.
Memorial Tree Program
This Program was established with the Parks system to allow for special tree planting to honor a person, organization or event. The Memorial Tree Program allows groups and individuals to donate trees to commemorate special events (Heritage) or living memorials to loved ones (Memorial).
Trees purchased through the program are planted in selected city parks or recreation areas and are marked with a special plaque indentifying the gift.
Cost of the program is $150 per tree- this includes the tree, plaque and continued maintenance of the tree (fertilizer, mulching, etc). Trees are planted in spring and fall depending on availability.
The benefits to the Parks system include replacing trees and shrubs lost due to weather related damage, insects, disease and old age, as well as adding new trees for future generations to enjoy.

Memorial Bench Program
The Memorial Bench Program allows citizens to purchase a park bench to be placed in a pre-approved Park location. Once a bench and site is selected and approved, the Parks and Recreation Department will order the bench, install the bench and develop and install the necessary commemorative signage. The individual or group making the donation will be responsible for the cost of the bench as well as any shipping costs.
