Even though the City of Fulton offers very affordable rates for both electricity and natural gas there have always been some members of the community that have struggled to afford their utilities, often families and the elderly. The recent increase in local unemployment has made the need for utility bill assistance even greater.
Many years ago the City of Fulton created the Energy Assistance Program to address that need. The program is funded through voluntary donations from community members. We ask that you please consider contributing, if you are able. To sign up as a donor or to increase the amount you donate via your utility bill, all you need to do is notify the utility department of the amount you can contribute monthly. The City will include that amount on your future bills. One-time contributions are also accepted at City Hall. The City turns all of the money collected over to SERVE who administers the program.
To make a donation stop by City Hall or contact us at 573-592-3111 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Every contribution is appreciated and no amount is too small.
To apply for assistance please contact the Central Missouri Community Action (CMCA) office at (573) 642-3316.
