Memorial Trees

This program was established by the Parks and Recreation Department system to allow for special tree planting to honor a person, organization or event. Also, groups and individuals are allowed to donate trees to commemorate special events (Heritage) or living memorials to loved ones (Memorial).

Trees purchased through the program are planted in selected City parks or recreation areas and are marked with a special plaque identifying the gift. The cost is $100 per tree which includes the tree, plaque, and continued maintenance of the tree (fertilizer, mulching, etc). Trees are planted in spring and fall depending on availability.

This service is not only beneficial to the Parks system (replacing trees & shrubs lost to weather, damage, insects, disease), but also serves as a beautiful reminder of the individuals honored and adds new trees for future generations to enjoy.

    • Fulton Festival of Lights Brightens Night Sky

This year marks the third for the Fulton Festival of Lights.  New to the attraction is an area filled with unique and creatively designed Christmas trees.  Thanks to the help of a local charity, the light display has been able to expand quicker than originally expected.
