William Woods Youth Basketball Camp

Fulton Parks & Recreation, in conjunction with the William Woods Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, is offering a fresh and exciting new basketball camp for kids ages 8-17.  This three week camp will teach the basics of the game of basketball, teamwork, discipline, and ball handling.  Participants will leave the camp with a better understanding of the game.  Includes camp t-shirt. LIMITED TO FIRST 30 PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS.

Youth Tennis Camp

Join us for our tennis camp!  The purpose of the camp is to provide a fun environment for students to learn basic skills of tennis and help improve skills fro experienced players.  The camp will focus on teaching the fundamental skills of tennis forehand, backhand, volleys and participants will have the opportunity to enjoy many exciting activities/games.

Youth Soccer Camp

Fulton Parks & Recreation will be offering another exciting soccer camp for kids who are interested in taking their soccer game to the next level! Participants will improve their technical skills on first touch, passing, shooting, finishing, dribbling, heading, and crossing.  Participants will play games utilizing 1v1 defending and 1v1 attacking techniques.  Includes camp t-shirt.

Beginning Cake Decorating Class

This is a great starter class to teach participants various cake making, icing, and decorating techniques. After the class is concluded participants should be able to create pearl, shell, and reverse borders and have the experience of working with pipe gel.

AARP Safe Driving Class

The nation’s first & largest classroom refresher for motorists age 50 & older.  Learn how to avoid driving hazards and possibly get discounts on your auto insurance.  For discount information, please contact your insurance prior to taking the course.  This course is a classroom course and will take a short lunch break.

Aquacise Water Aerobics Class

Fulton Swim Lessons

Parks and Recreation is offering Fulton Swimming Lessons for ages 3 and up. Classes will be divided by ages and ability and will be conducted in two week sessions running Monday through Thursday throughout July and the beginning of August. Classes will be provided with a ratio of one teacher to every three students and the classes will teach from the basic water skills to stroke refinement based on class level. Make sure to review the class description to determine what level your child needs to sign-up in. Class size is limited so sign-up today!

Digital Photography Class

Memory Quilt Class

Preserve great memories in the form of a quilt made out of your special t-shirts, sweatshirts and jerseys.  This quilt would be a great gift for someone special.  Instructor Karen Luther will teach students the techniques to preserve those special memories for a lifetime.

Two classes will be offered this time, a morning and evening class.

Free Youth Soccer Clinic

Playing soccer this Fall?  This clinic is a great warm-up to the soccer season.  Participants will receive instruction on the skills of the game from coaches and players from the William Woods Men’s Soccer team. Kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade can participate.

Archery Clinic

This year, a one-day archery clinic will be held for participants ages 7-15.  This clinic will start with a briefing to ensure safety on and off the range with discussion on range general instruction and courtesy.  Participants will discuss bow selection, proper draw (Length/Weight), stance, grip, posture, sighting, and release.  Some bows will be available to utilize, but participants are encouraged to bring their own bows if they chose.  LIMITED TO THE FIRST 20 SIGN-UPS.

Clubs

Fulton Bike Club

New this year, Fulton Parks and Recreation will be offering the community an opportunity to join the Fulton Bike Club.  This club will meet the third Sunday of every month from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. March to October at Memorial Park.  The club is open to all ages and skill levels and is an opportunity for anyone that enjoys biking!  Participants that attend the Fulton Bike Club and receive five punches on their card will receive a prize, redeemable at the Parks and Recreation office.
