City Commission Wins State Human Rights Award

The Missouri Commission on Human Rights has bestowed the City of Fulton’s Human Rights Commission with a state honor. It has been named the Local Human Rights Commission of the year in Missouri. Members of the Fulton Human Rights Commission received the award during the MCHR’s annual conference in Columbia.

Each year, the city commission holds several informational events for citizens. This includes a fair housing forum in April, a Human Rights Day presentation in December, as well as the Celia Commemoration. The commission meets four times during the year, in months with a fifth Monday.
